Intensive training in Germering

from November 27th to 28th, 2004

Instead of going to Würzburg as usual we have this time chosen the dojo of our Munich group in South Germany. This group trains regularly with Robert Benischek. We were approximately twelve people who gathered to take advantage of this training.

On Saturday morning, we did an in-depth training with kihon sotai, looking at every detail. Although we had several levels among our practitioners the quality of the kihon was surprisingly good. The afternoon was dedicated to various exercises and to the omote series. Some of them could even learn a new technique.

The following day, we trained up to noon. Robert took the initiative for some exercises with ken. This was followed by kenjutsu and it is precisely the ken side which is still giving us a hard time. Personally, I was at least able to repeat kage with Robert. All the others could choose their kata to practice them during a free training session.

We said goodbye on Sunday afternoon and promised to meet again next year. Hopefully we will be able to do this even near Heidelberg. See you soon at the kagamibiraki!
