Jodo summer camp in Zinnowitz/Usedom, Germany
July, 23rd to 30th 2011
Now, that we are all again dry, I'd like to share some words concerning this memorable stage. I want to
thank the organisational team, who was successful to turn the camp into a event we will look back to with very fond memories
despite the rainy weather. A heartfelt thanks goes to Matthias, Ian, Elke and Andreas, Pierre, Helga and all those who gave of
their time. Thanks also to all the teachers who "dove in" for this stage 2011.
From the jodo perspective, I believe that this week of training has been valued by the participants, even if the teachings of
Jutte and Kusarigama left a view things to be desired. Aside from the humidity, the ambiance of the camp seemed exceptional
to me, thanks to shared friendship that exists in our federation. However, I've taken the time to redraw a more fitting logo.
Thanks again to everyone four your participation and I'm looking forward to seeing you at the beginning of January 2012 in Geneva.

According to custom, one evening has been dedicated to calligraphy. For the first time shodo practitioners where
able to take up the brush to steal PK's thunder. This should turn into a recurring experience from now on.
Helga and Klaus gave the participants some fine moments at the final evening by introducing them to traditional dances.
About 120 participant of the camp in front of the Shomen. "Sôgô Budô no Jô" to the right (Jo, a synthesis of all budo) and "Shintô Musô Ryû Jô"
to the left. And let's not forget Shimizu Sensei and the "Pascalodactylus" over the right shoulder of Fred. (click to see larger image)
