Seminar in Dresden with Pascal Krieger

November, 27th and 28th 2010

The theme for this seminar was Sessa Takuma - in the figurative sense it means you take a stone, break it into two and rub the two halves against each other in order to polish them. Somehow the relationship between a good teacher and a student is the same. Both can give and receive. You just need to be open to that.

Unfortunately, the weather conditions stopped the Hungarian people from travelling. The outside conditions were challenging. I was happy to see that the people from Austria, the Netherlands, Czech Rep. and Germany arrived safely on Saturday morning. Finally we have been 26 Jodokas plus Pascal Sensei.

One point beside the Kata Keiko has been the issue of Kihon training. In case the Kihon is not solid enough, Pascal Sensei stressed the fact that all mistakes here will be repeated later in the Kata very likely. Therefore we should not forget to train Kihon, even in our regular training.

I appreciate the work from everybody and would like to thank again for the good spirit and energy all participants had been giving. Especially I want to thank Pascal Sensei for pushing us a little further on the way.
